Chelsea suffered a 2-0 defeat against Everton in their Premier League match at Goodison Park on Sunday, December 10, 2023, marking their second consecutive loss.

Following a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United on Wednesday, Chelsea aimed to rebound with a victory in Liverpool but ended up leaving empty-handed.

30-year-old Mali midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure broke the deadlock in the 54th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after visiting goalkeeper Robert Sanchez parried Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s strike in a one-on-one situation.

Lewis Dobbin secured all three points for the hosts by doubling their advantage in stoppage time, just six minutes after replacing Jack Harrison.

The winger smashed a low shot into the net after Sanchez had punched away a corner kick, and the ball fell directly to the 20-year-old, who wasted no time scoring.
