Vulnerable children at Bethel Children’s Home in Londiani, Kericho County, experienced the true spirit of Christmas as they received essential supplies.
Including sacks of maize, rice, blankets, and other necessities, bringing warmth and hope during the festive season.
The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt gratitude as the children shared special moments with their visitors.
The donations aim to provide much-needed relief and improve the children’s living conditions, ensuring they feel loved and cared for during this special time of year.
Speaking at the event, Kipkelion East MP Joseph Cherorot underscored the significance of supporting vulnerable children, particularly during festive seasons when feelings of isolation can be heightened.
“This season reminds us of the power of love, kindness, and sharing.
These children deserve care, warmth, and a sense of belonging.
Our small contributions today are meant to brighten their Christmas and give them hope for a better future,” said Cherorot.
He also called on leaders, stakeholders, and well-wishers to extend their support beyond festive seasons and ensure consistent care for vulnerable children and families in their communities.
“Supporting these children goes beyond today—it’s about laying a foundation for a better tomorrow.
Every act of kindness counts in helping them grow, thrive, and achieve their dreams,” he added.
The event at Bethel Children’s Home served as a powerful reminder of society’s collective responsibility to care for its most vulnerable.
As the children sang carols and exchanged smiles with their visitors, it was clear that the spirit of Christmas had brought light and hope to their hearts.
