Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested six officials who work at the Ministry of Interior for the embezzlement of more than KSh 450M.
Among the six arrested is a cleaner going by the name Eric Kipkurui Mutai who allegedly received KSh 257M. Eric reportedly owns seven companies who supplied the ministry with nothing despite receiving the payment.
The suspects had been contracted with supplying various prisons with different commodities. One of the other suspects is a Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons.
