Harambee Stars head coach, Engin Firat, has unveiled the provisional squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Namibia. The matches are scheduled to take place between September 2-10, 2024.
The squad features a mix of local talents and internationally-based players. Leading the team is captain Michael Olunga, with key players such as Joseph Okumu, Timothy Ouma, Eric Johanna, Eric Ouma, Amos Nondi, Richard Odada, Jonah Ayunga, John Avire, and Teddy Akumu forming the foreign-based contingent.
Harambee Stars will kick off their campaign against Zimbabwe on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Stade Mandela National Stadium in Uganda. Their second match will be against Namibia, set to be played in South Africa.
