The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is seeking your help in unmasking the identity of a man who snatched a gun from a police officer in Kisumu County and shot dead two people on March 5.

The identity of the man, later killed by a mob, remains a mystery. No one has claimed his body and an identity search from records has returned negative.

“DCI detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau alongside their Anti Terror counterparts have reason to believe that the assailant was not just the ordinary criminal, but had prior to the attack received training in tactical maneuvers and weapon handling,” the detectives said in a statement.

The man was in possession of three identity cards. Investigations reveal that they belonged to other individuals.

Members of the public have been urged to study the images of the mystery man and volunteer information to DCI.
