Two dead, 12 injured as 14-seater matatu ferrying students involved in accident

A 14-seater matatu is said to have tyre burst before rolling over, killing the driver and a student on the spot with 12 other students who were heading back to school.
The students were travelling to various school within Baringo County after the re-opening of the school.
The injured were rushed to Marigat sub-County Hospital while those who needed specialised medical care were taken to Baringo County Referral Hospital, Nakuru and Eldoret facilities.
The scene of today's accident is fast becoming a blackspot as several accidents have occurred in the area.
The bodies of those succumbed to injuries were taken to Eldama Ravine mortuary.
