Relief for Kamandura residents as beast that has been terrorising them is knocked down

It is a sigh of relief for Kamandura residents in Limuru Constituency, Kiambu County, after a hyena that has been terrorising them and killing their livestock, incurring huge loses in the process, was killed.

Residents gathered to watch the carcass of the hyena which was knocked down by a speeding vehicle in the wee hours of Wednesday, October 5 morning when it was crossing the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.

Numerous calls by the residents to the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) officers in Limuru to come to their rescue had fallen on deaf ears, as wild animals continued to reign terror in the village.

Hyena attacks have been rampant in the area in the recent past.
