George Mwangi death: Gladys Chania to undergo mental test as ODPP confirms murder charges

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) has confirmed murder charges against Kiambu politician Gladys Chania.

Chania is accused of orchestrating the murder of his husband, Rwanda-based businessman George Mwangi whose body was found stashed in a polythene bad in Kieni Forest, Gatundu, Kiambu County.

Chania appeared before Kiambu Resident Magistrate Wilson Radin'g on Friday, October 28 morning, a day after the slain businessman was laid to rest at his Mangu home, the same location police say he was murdered at before his body was dumped in the forest.

Prosecution officer identified as Kelwon told the court the accused person will be undergo a psychiatrist test on Tuesday, November 1 at Mathare Mental Hospital in Nairobi.
