Kiambu: Mother, teen daughter die in dawn house fire

A sorrowful mood has engulfed a village in Kiambu County after a mother and her teen daughter died in an early morning house fire.

Neighbours say the house in which the 44-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter perished in Magina, Lari Constituency, had been locked from outside.  

When TV47 Digital visited the scene, smoke was still billowing from the site where the semi-permanent house once stood. 

The grief-struck neighbours have called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigation to conduct investigations into the mysterious fire. They suspect the fire to have been an arson.
