Kajiado: Probe starts after three-day old baby found dumped under mugumo tree

Police in Kajiado County are investigating an incident where a three-day-old baby was found dumped on Monday, December 19 morning.

The baby girl was found abandoned under a mugumo tree near SDA Church in Ngong Town.

A guard manning a nearby premise heard baby cries and called officers from Ngong Police Station at around 6 am.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado North sub-County Police Commander Felistar Mukunjura says that the baby was rushed to Ngong Sub-county hospital where she is recuperating.

This infact was abandoned by the mother at an SDA Church Ngong. I commend the mother of the kid for being mindful that she clothed the kid warmly and took it to the Church where love and care could be found. The baby’s parents are yet to be identified.
