Another land scandal? Gov't stops transactions of prime real estate over double allocations

The government has ordered for a stop to land transactions and development at Olopito Group Ranch in Narok County after claims of double allocations of parcels of land.
Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde who toured the area on Monday, January 24 said all activity should cease until a case that is in court is heard and determined.
Masinde said initially, the Group Ranch had 165 members but has ballooned to 400, which has brought about controversy over ownership.
He said this tussle has led to increased cases of threats especially upon the old members.
