Kiambu: Church, 13 houses reduced to ashes in mysterious fire

The African Divine Church and 13 houses were burnt in the Friday evening inferno.
Limuru sub-County Deputy Police Commander Paul Yator told TV47 Digital that the fire broke out at around 5pm. No casualties were reported though some opportunities attempted to loot valuables from the houses.
Some residents joined hands with fire fighters from the Kiambu County Government and contained the raging inferno.
Yator said they've launched investigations to unearth the cause of the fire.
Elsewhere, five acres of forest land has been destroyed in a fire incident at Muguga Forest, also in Kiambu County.
Eston Mutito, who is in charge of the forest said the blaze destroyed several prized eucalyptus trees as well as undergrowth.
