56-year-old mzee in court for allegedly defiling daughters aged 8 and 15

Nicholas Mwanzia, a 56-year-old man from Ituusya village in Kangundo, Machakos County, was on Thursday, March 9 arraigned for allegedly defiling his two daughters.

Appearing before Kangundo Principal Magistrate Martha Opanga, Mwanzia was charged with two counts under the Sexual Offences Act.

On count one, the court heard that on diverse dates between February and March 2023 in Ituusya village, the suspect intentionally "caused his penis to penetrate into genital organs to a child aged 8 years".

On this count, he pleaded not guilty and was released on a bond of KSh200,000. This case will be mentioned on 28th March 2023.

On count two, the court heard that on diverse dates between February and March 2023 in Ituusya village in Kangundo, Mwanzia defiled his 15-year-old daughter.

He also pleaded not guilty and released to this charge and was released on a bond of KSh200,000. This particular case will be mentioned earlier than the other one - 22nd March 2023.
