Justice Kavedza Mochache has directed detectives to return a Toyota vehicle, phones, a house, and two laptops to the family of the slain former Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo.
The decision followed a plea from the victim’s lawyer, stating that these items were not part of the exhibit and were needed by the family.
“By consent, the items of the deceased which are mentioned above and are not part of the exhibit be released to the family,” the Kibera High Court ruled.
Simultaneously, the court heard that the prosecution had submitted an affidavit opposing bail for the accused person.
The court directed the defense to file a response.
The matter will be mentioned on February 21 2024.
