Public Service and Delivery Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Wednesday, March 27 evening joined the Muslim faithful for Iftar dinner at Upper Hill, Nairobi.
“Iftar is a momentous occasion to come together to show acts of kindness to others and more so to invigorate body and spirit for the spiritual journey of prayer and reflection in the Holy Month of Ramadan,” Kuria said.
Iftar is a meal held every day during Ramadan at sunset. Fasting is one of the main pillars of Ramadan, and those observing the holiday do not consume any food or drink between sunrise and sunset. After evening prayer and sunset, Muslims break their fast with Iftar.
