CSs Mbadi and Alice Wahome sack 12 high-ranking officials

Treasury cabinet secretary (CS) John Mbadi, and Ministry of Lands CS Alice Wahome sacked 12 officials to initiate significant changes in their ministries.

In a special gazette notice dated September 6, 2024, Treasury CS Mbadi removed four members from the Kenya National Entrepreneurs Savings Trust and appointed new individuals.

The officials fired by Mbadi

Martha Opisa Okochil, Louis Karisa, Ruth Jerotich, and Tom Okundi were relieved of their positions.

The officials replaced by former ones

Simultaneously Mbadi appointed; Irene Githiga representing the Federation of Matatu Drivers and Conductors Association, Kevin Bwire Mubadi from the Kenya National Boda Boda Association, Joseph Kisoro Ogola from the Kenya National Federation of Jua Kali Association, and Teresia Njenga from the Mitumba Association.

What the CSs notice informed the public

The National Treasury CS assigned the mentioned individuals as Trustees to the Kenya National Entrepreneurs Savings Trust for a three-year term starting from September 6, 2024, as stated in the Gazette Notice.

The eight officials fired by CS Wahome

Additionally, CS Wahome dismissed eight officials who were part of the Lamu West Land Control Board.

The individuals relieved of their duties include Julia Wamboi Njuguna, Ali Omar Mohammed, Simon Muguro Mwarania, Julia Wamaitha Kimani, John Mbugua Njoka, Zeinabu Gobu Wako, James Muriithi Ngiriri, and Cecilia Wanjiku Ng’ang’a.

List of officials appointed by CS Wahome

The CS has appointed Samoe Farouk Fadhil, County Physical Planner, Moses Kiarie Wanjiku, Omar Bakari Ibrahim, Nasra Abdurehman Omar, Biha Wanje Baya, Maalim Fadhili Maalim, and Abubakar Masoud Rashid to replace the previous officials.

According to the Gazette Notice, these individuals will serve as members of the Lamu West Land Control Board for a duration of two and a half years starting from September 6, 2024.
