Cyberbullying threatens Thee Pluto and Felicity’s future on YouTube

A few days ago, popular content creator Thee Pluto celebrated his birthday in a star-studded party, attended by several well-known figures.

Among the attendees was politician Sabina Chege, who sparked a frenzy online after a video surfaced of her cutting Pluto’s cake and feeding him.

The moment stirred controversy as Pluto’s fiancée, Felicity, stood behind him, seemingly left out.

As the video made rounds, sparking speculation and criticism, Thee Pluto took to social media to address the situation.

In a lighthearted manner, he asked, “Ati tunaskia bloggers wanasema nini huko nje? 😂😂😂 niwaongezee chai ama nitulie?”

In a more serious tone, he went on to explain the circumstances behind the viral clip. “This video has been trending online of me being fed cake by mheshimiwa Sabina Chege.

The MC was directing everything, telling Sabina to feed me, and then asking me to pass the cake to Waithaka. I wasn’t in control; the person holding the mic was.

But don’t worry, we’ll release a full video soon to clear things up.”

Felicity, too, hinted at sharing her perspective, promising her audience that she would address the issue in due time.

However, the couple revealed that this wasn’t the only challenge they’ve been facing.

Speaking on Felicity’s YouTube channel, Thee Pluto suggested they might step away from YouTube altogether.

The constant cyberbullying, combined with their busy schedules, has made maintaining their online presence difficult.

Felicity, with over 313,000 subscribers, explained, “Privacy issues, unnecessary anxiety, and stress are some of the reasons we’re considering stepping back.”

She further reminded her viewers of the times people misunderstood their content, which only added to their frustrations.

Thee Pluto also shared a more personal side, recalling how relentless online criticism once pushed him into depression, forcing him to take a break from social media.

Despite this, he acknowledged the importance of the support they receive online, particularly for their business ventures.

The future of their YouTube presence now hangs in the balance, as they weigh the benefits of the platform against the toll it takes on their mental health.
