Kenyan musician Daddy Owen has disclosed that he is no longer interested in love relationships since he is focused on other aspects of life.
Daddy Owen made the remarks on Wednesday March 6, 2024 during an interview with Dr Ofweneke on TV47 during the Dr Ofweneke Live show.
Owen Mwatia popularly know as Daddy Owen is Kenyan contemporary gospel singer and a song writer from Kakamega County.
He is the brother to the award winning gospel musician Rufftone.
At the same time, Daddy Owen recalled how he divorced his wife Farida Wambui back in 2021.
He noted that his divorce attracted a lot of criticism but he clarified that everyone is entitled to their opinions, and criticism is part of being in the spotlight.
With over 20 years in the music industry, the Kenyan musician said that he understands the scrutiny that comes with being a public figure.
“We live in a world where everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Sometimes it’s hard to criticize them because you’re a public figure,” he said.
During the interview, Daddy Owen explained that when a couple agrees to part ways, children become victims and that’s why co-parenting is very important.
According to him, divorced parents should set their differences aside and support their kids, adding that at the end of the day they will still show up for their kids.
At the same time, Daddy Owen spoke about his foundation which he stated in 2012 which aims at supporting kids with disability.
He started Malaika Disability Foundation that aims at supporting kids born with disability.
Daddy Owen added that under his foundation, he ensures every kid born with disability is offered free surgery and their life is transformed fully.

He added that his foundation was planning to host an event that aims at creating awareness and raise raise funds for people living with disability.
Artists with different types of disability will be preforming during the event.
This year his Malaika foundation is targeting to reach over 500 people with disabilities.
