As thousands of fans danced to his hit “Gyal a Bubble,” Konshens showcased his allegiance to Kenya.

Encouraging young Kenyans to remain steadfast in their fight.

Celebrities unite behind protesters

Renowned artists such as Joeboy and Jamaica’s Queen Ifrica publicly backed the protests.

Some, like Christina Shusho, even changed their profile pictures to the Kenyan flag to express solidarity.

The global cultural spotlight shone even brighter on Kenya when Jamaican dancehall star Konshens held a performance with the Kenyan flag in hand, proudly waving it and giving the country a heartfelt shout-out.

Konshens pledges allegiance

In the audience, Kenyan flags waved passionately, symbolizing a historic moment of unity.

“Kenya, we see uno! We have the flag for all the people! Buss a blank!” Konshens exclaimed, prompting a wild reaction from the Summerjam crowd.

Thunderous applause and vigorous flag-waving filled the air, amplifying the global resonance of Kenya’s struggle.

This electrifying display at the Germany Summerjam concert took place just a day before the Shujaaz Concert at Uhuru Park.

The event honoured the Kenyans who lost their lives during the three weeks of anti-government demonstrations.

On Sunday, July 7, traditionally celebrated as ‘SabaSaba’ in honour of the second-liberation fighters, thousands of Kenyans gathered at Uhuru Park, each bringing a Kenyan flag to pay tribute to the over 40 protesters killed by police.

The Shujaaz Concert saw some of Kenya’s biggest music stars take the stage, including Khaligraph Jones, Nameless, Octopizzo, and Juliani.

Eric Wainaina’s poignant song “Daima” moved the crowd, as thousands of concert-goers sang along word by word, with fists raised high in a sombre show of unity and defiance.

The unwavering support from international stars and the passionate participation of Kenyan citizens highlight the resilience and determination driving the fight for justice.

The Kenyan flag, a symbol of this struggle, continues to wave proudly, both at home and abroad, marking a pivotal moment in the nation’s history.
