Dandora couple arrested after reporting their daughters death

Police in Dandora, Nairobi have arrested a couple after they reported the death of their six-year-old daughter in their house.

The couple went to the police station seeking assistance to move the body to the mortuary.

This took place on Tuesday 12th December as the couple said that their daughter suffered chest complications.

Police who visited the scene say that they suspect that it could be a murder case after they discovered marks around her neck and back.

Nairobi Police Boss Adamson Bungei has said that they suspect the child had been strangled and will ask the court to allow them to detain the couple pending investigations.

“We are investigating a murder in this case even though we are yet to establish the motive behind this if any,” Bungei said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and the couple arrested pending investigations.

The law enforces are now working to understand the events leading to the death of the girl.

3-year-old boy electrocuted in Kayole

Elsewhere, police are investigating an incident where a 3-year-old boy was electrocuted while playing in the balcony of their home in Kayole, Nairobi.

Simon Waithaka who is the DCI boss of Njiru area has confirmed the incident.

The boy’s aunt who talked to the police said that she left the child playing in the balcony when she heard screams of other children saying that the boy had fallen off the balcony.

However, the family is now seeking justice claiming that the live wires were left hanging near the house.
