Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has shared his experience of welcoming “beautiful” twins.
His bundles of joys have arrived a year after the tragic loss of his three-year-old son last year around the same time.
Speaking at a conference in New York, the musician disclosed that his wife gave birth to a boy and a girl in the United States in October.

Davido’s and Chioma’s loss
Consequently, he welcomed his twins during the same month that he lost his son Ifeanyi.
He acknowledged that what he went through might have caused many people to lose faith in God.
However, he shared that he has maintained his belief and continued pursuing his passion.
Davido expressed, “A lot of people that those things happen to – you would never want to believe in God ever in your life.”
He clarified further “But I do still have faith, to still be able to do what I love, have a great team around me, and just focusing”
In his very elated spirits, he stated, “I’m almost at the finish line, and that’s something that I want people to see.”

The news of twins
He shared that when he and his wife, Chioma, who is a renowned chef and influencer, discovered they were expecting twins, they were overwhelmed with emotion.
They were key to reflecting on the timing of this news in relation to the loss of their son.
His son, David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr., had tragically passed away in October of the previous year.
The incident involving the young boy took place in the family’s home, specifically in the swimming pool at their main residence in Nigeria.
Davido’s journey from loss to new beginnings and his unwavering faith have been inspirational to many.
