Detectives from DCI Kaloleni have arrested three suspected drug traffickers and seized six sacks of bhang, following a tip-off from vigilant members of the public.
The suspects Juma Nyiro Wanje, Wanje Nyiro Wanje, and Francis Arome Chiringa were caught red-handed during a police raid at Birya village, Kaloleni Sub-County.
Acting swiftly on intelligence, officers stormed the home of the first suspect, uncovering the massive haul of cannabis sativa, which was reportedly destined for Bamburi before the interception foiled their plans.
The three suspects are now in police custody, undergoing processing as they await their court appearance.
DCI Calls for Continued Public Vigilance
Authorities have commended members of the public for their role in the operation, urging continued cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking.
