Delta Airlines plane crashes at Toronto Airport, flips upside down

A terrifying scene unfolded at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon.

A Delta Air Lines flight crash-landed and flipped upside down upon landing.

Dramatic footage from the airport captured the aftermath—thick smoke rising from the overturned fuselage as emergency crews rushed to the scene.

The commercial jet’s exterior was burned, and its wings and tail appeared broken.

Painting a grim picture of the crash’s impact.

The incident occurred around 2:15 PM ET as Delta Flight 4819, arriving from Minneapolis, touched down on a snow-covered runway.

The airport had been battling icy conditions following a weekend storm that dumped over eight inches of snow.

The weather may have played a role in the crash.

Miraculously, all 80 people on board—including 76 passengers and four crew members—were accounted for.

However, Delta later confirmed that at least 18 passengers sustained injuries.

Shocking images from the scene showed passengers evacuating through the overturned cabin door, some appearing shaken but relieved to be alive.

One traveler even took to social media, sharing a video of the wreckage with a mix of shock and gratitude for surviving the ordeal.

This crash is the latest in a troubling series of aviation incidents across North America, raising fresh concerns about flight safety in extreme weather conditions.

A Delta Air Lines spokesperson addressed the incident, stating, “Delta is aware of reports regarding Endeavor Flight 4819 operating from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Toronto-Pearson International Airport.

We are actively working to gather details and will provide updates as soon as possible.”

As authorities investigate the cause of the crash, relief lingers in the air.

What could have been a far greater tragedy ended with lives spared, thanks to the swift response of the airport’s emergency teams.
