The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has announce the arrest of the Main Suspect in the Murder of Nairobi Hospital finance Director Erick Maigo.
The arrest happened last evening , where the suspect Ann Adhiambo Akinyi identified to be 16 year old minor was arrested at Olympic village in the sprawling Kibera slums,
This followed her transfer to the DCI headquarters in Kiambu road then later booked at Muthaiga police station a waiting t be taken to Kilimani Police Station where the case is being handled.
The Juvenile has been on the run since Thursday when her pictures began making rounds on the internet and was eventually caught up with by the DCI sleuths working on a tip off.
On the Friday the Detectives found the clothes the had on, the fateful day Maigo lost his life in cooled blood.
The clothes a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a semi-permanent wooden shack in Bombolulu village, deep inside the sprawling Kibra settlement.
Maigo’s suspected killer unmasked
Maigo’s lifeless body was found in a pool of blood on September 15, bearing 25 stab wounds. However the motive of the Murder is not yet clear.
She had been captured scaling perimeter walls in CCTV footage retrieved by crime scene detectives close to the scene of the murder, prompting detectives to launch a manhunt across the city.
Meanwhile the case has elicited mixed reaction with many trying to question what Maigo was doing in the company of a minor.
Preliminary investigations
Primary Investigations into the tragic murder of Eric Maigo, the Acting Finance Director of Nairobi Hospital, had uncovered significant details.

On the fateful night when the gruesome incident occurred in his Woodley Estate residence, Maigo met three women.
Through a thorough examination of phone records and CCTV footage, it was determined that Maigo was spotted on a Thursday evening at a recently established popular entertainment club along Ngong Road.
At this venue, he interacted with three women. In an effort to identify all individuals who had contact with Maigo at the club, the police visited the establishment, leading to the identification of Cynthia Lusega Andalo.
However on Monday Cynthia was realised by Milimani senior principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi, for lack of evidence.
“After investigations, we forwarded the file to the ODPP and there was no sufficient evidence to charge the respondent herein, “the court was told.
The procession had applied for Cynthia to be detained for an additional five days for investigations to be completed.
