Didmus Barasa: Cleophas Malala is the Harry Maguire of Kenya Kwanza

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has launched a scathing attack on UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala, labeling him an opposition mole within the Kenya Kwanza government.

In the words of the lawmaker, Malala has strayed from his designated role as the party’s secretary, which was initially intended to keep a check on his opposition counterpart.

Instead, Barasa said, he has taken it upon himself to challenge leaders of the ruling coalition from Western Kenya.

“We brought Malala in with the intention of having him act as a check on Edwin Sifuna. However, Malala seems to have forgotten his primary role; he has now started challenging Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula,” Barasa claimed while speaking on Spice FM.

Barasa asserts that Malala has developed the habit of visiting the strongholds of Wetangula and Mudavadi and questioning them about their contributions to the region.

According to the Kimilili legislator, this is a clear opposition agenda, and he believes that the former Kakamega Senator is acting on behalf of the ODM Party.

“He is acting as though he is aware that perhaps the government has not delivered much to the people of Western Kenya. This rhetoric is typical of the opposition. That is why we are asserting that Cleophas Malala is an ODM mole and should be removed as soon as possible,” Barasa declared.

According to Barasa, the Kenya Kwanza administration is pushing forward in the right direction, while Malala is doing everything in his power to undermine it.

Barasa went so far as to liken Malala to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire who has been victimized for repeatedly committing errors leading to goals or soring into his own net.

“I would compare him to a player from Manchester United who was, at one point, the leading goal scorer but was scoring in the wrong goal. Cleophas Malala and Harry Maguire, I don’t think there’s much difference,” he remarked.
