Digital content creator Muchiri Mike has called for urgent action against women being killed.
In an Instagram post, Muchiri acknowledged that Kenya has a serious homicide problem.
”I think it’s high time that we Kenyans acknowledge that there is actually a femicide problem in Kenya.”
The comedy guru recalled the horrid cases in the few days of 2024.
”The way men talk about this cases, is very victim blaming,” added Muchiri.
Muchiri noted that femicide in Kenya has become so prevalent because violent against women has been accepted, justified and tolerated.
He urged people to stop blame game when such incidents occur.

The content creator has raised concerns over why cases of femicide has not been declared a national concern.
According to him, the women representative docket should be abolished, for not advocating for women’s rights.
”I haven’t seen a single women representative speak on this matter.”
