Kenyan celebrity Director Trevor (real name Bonventure Monyancha Kebati) has come clean on his breakup with girlfriend Mungai Eve.
Speaking on his renamed YouTube channel Kenya Online Media, Director Trevor shared details of their fallout with the renowned content creator.
He renamed the channel which was famously known as the Mungai Eve show, with over 700,000 subscribers.
“We worked together last year while not being in a romantic relationship until February this year when we officially decided to part ways,” Director Trevor explained.
Earlier this week, he disclosed that he had fired his ex Mungai Eve and renamed all their social media platforms. He went on to state that she was no longer part of management and therefore would not get any proceeds.
His announcement was followed by a cryptic message reportedly aimed at Mungai Eve.
“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago,” Trevor wrote.
Director Trevor declared that his partnership with Mungai Eve was henceforth terminated, hence their audience would no longer see her on their screens.
Instead, he unveiled Rael Wangare to replace Mungai Eve on YouTube.
In her acceptance statement, Wangare described the move as a new beginning.
She agreed with Director Trevor’s statement that the couple parted ways a year ago, but kept it under wraps.
“Hawa watu waliachana in February, 2023. This was also the time when Trevor began a media page on Facebook.
“The two decided to work together for the rest of the year and now they have decided to go their separate ways,” Wangare added.
She advised Kenyans to shift focus from Trevor and Eve’s breakup and instead embrace the change.
“Let’s not put our noses in other people’s businesses so much.”
Mungai Eve has however remained mum on the matter. She is currently on vacation in Zanzibar in the company of a female friend.
