DJ Klasiq has officially been crowned the Nairobi region winner of the Smirnoff Battle of the Beats (SBOB) after an electrifying showdown that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The competition brought together four of Nairobi’s finest DJs—DJ Klasiq, DJ Vancie, Funkeed Mixxingenious, and DJ Leeboy—

in a high-energy contest that showcased remarkable talent and creativity.

Each DJ delivered unforgettable sets, blending genres and captivating the audience with their unique styles.

However, it was DJ Klasiq who stole the spotlight with a dynamic performance that combined seamless transitions, crowd engagement, and an unmatched stage presence.

Fans from across the city rallied behind the DJ, casting their votes and securing the well-deserved win.

Reflecting on the competition, SBOB judge DJ Grauchi praised the finalists for their creativity and connection with the audience.

“The talent we’ve seen in Nairobi has been nothing short of extraordinary. DJ Klasiq stood out with an innovative style and unmatched energy, making them a truly deserving winner,” he said.

The Smirnoff Battle of the Beats competition, part of Smirnoff’s “We Do We” campaign, celebrates the unifying power of music while serving as a platform to nurture Kenya’s rising DJ stars.

Smirnoff Spirits Marketing Manager, Kennedy Mutula, emphasized the brand’s commitment to fostering local talent.

DJ Klasiq now joins an elite league of regional champions, including DJ Insta from the Lake region, DJ Kryptic from the Mountain region, Kay Jay the DJ from the Rift region, and Rattihy the DJ from the Coast region.

Together, they will face off in the highly anticipated national finals, where Kenya’s ultimate DJ champion will be crowned.
