Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has dismissed rumours of acrimony between him and President William Ruto.
Speaking in Kapsabet, Nandi County, on Sunday, October 8, DP Gachagua assured that he has a strong working relation with his boss, telling Kenyans to avoid the misleading rumours.
The second in command insists that his political competitors and critics are trying to create a false narrative to discredit him on the face of Kenyans.
‘The opposition’s doing’
The DP further said that he will protect the president and his allies against any attempts of sabotage from the opposition.
Other Kenya Kwanza leaders who had accompanied the DP in the county also blamed the opposition of spreading propaganda against senior government officers.
According to the leaders, the opposition’s agenda is to discredit key government figures in an attempt to incite the public against President Ruto’s administration.
The leaders were addressing the Anglican Church faithful at Kapsabet Showgrounds in Nandi county.
