Gachagua spares time off morning walk to visit family affected by fire

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has today visited the family of James Gatua, whose three houses were gutted down by fire last week.

The DP was in his home village of Mathira, Nyeri County during his signature morning walks he took some off and went to show support and condole the family of Gatua.

“The beauty of being at the village in Mathira, Nyeri County, not only allows me to walk and exercise in the green and refreshing environment but also get to meet the neighbours for a catchup.” stated the DP.

The Deputy President has also stated that the government is working towards enhancing emergency response services.

“We are working with Counties in bringing emergency response services closer to every Kenyan to avert loss of lives and livelihoods.” Added the Gachagua.

Still while on his walk Gachagua continued interacting with some of the villagers who are farmers.

“We also had conversations with dairy farmers. They are looking forward to reforms in the subsector for better earnings.” added the Deputy President.

The Deputy President is heading the reforms in the tea and coffee subsectors which have been riddled with cartels exploiting farmers.
