Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga is today (Tuesday) attending the Africa Climate Summit in Nairobi.
Odinga was received by Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua and African Union Chairperson Moussa Faki a few minutes past 9 a.m.
This comes a day after rumors that the Azimio honcho had been denied accreditation to attend the #ACS23.
Gachagua and Raila clash over talks
Last month, Odinga and Gachagua engaged in a war of words as they shared a podium during the burial of late Mau Mau veteran John Kagwe, alias Brigadier Kiboko, in Kanjuiri, Nyandarua County.
Gachagua accused Odinga and the larger opposition of wanting a share in President William Ruto’s government.
“Come we talk but you and your people cannot join our government. It is not possible because there is no constitutional provision and we can’t agree that you mess us up the way you did with Uhuru,” he lectured the former Prime Minister.

The second in command revealed he was against a possible handshake because Ruto would turn against them, just like it happened with Kenyatta.
In a rejoinder, Odinga maintained he was in favor of the ongoing bipartisan talks within the 10-member committee drawn from Kenya Kwanza and Azimio.
“I don’t want to be a deputy president. I don’t want to be a prime minister. I have been this and more. I no longer have an interest in that. Just be calm and cease claims I want nusu mkate,” he asserted.
National Dialogue Committee
He advised Gachagua to keep off the talks and leave bipartisan co-leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa to chart their own course with the talks.
“Now Riggy G (Rigathi) there is no problem with having dialogue. Let Kimani Ichung’wah, Kalonzo Musyoka, and their teams have the talks. Even if we are not on the same page, just listen. You, President William Ruto, and I should step aside,” Odinga added.
As the Africa Climate Summit enters day two, the opposition leader could make an address among world leaders.
