Duale: Thank you President Ruto for picking a Cabinet that reflects national unity

Environment Cabinet Secretary nominee Aden Duale has lauded President William Ruto for appointing what he says is “a Cabinet that reflects the national unity of our country.”

Speaking on the same day President Ruto announced his second batch of Cabinet nominees, Duale said that the men and women nominated reflects the face and diversity of all Kenyan communities.

“The proposed Cabinet which now awaits vetting and approval by the National Assembly is testament that as a Country we can rise above our differences and unite on the national values that binds us together as Kenyans,” Duale said on X, formerly Twitter.

Duale added: “The constitution of a government of National Unity is a defining moment for this country, where there was disagreement, the country has chosen PEACE, where there was discord, UNITY and where there was political upheaval, STABILITY.”

Duale now says that, if approved by Parliament, he looks forward to working with “my brothers from across the political divide, to ensure that we serve the People of Kenya effectively.”

In his latest Cabinet appointments, President Ruto nominated ODM Chairperson and Nominated MP John Mbadi to be the Treasury CS, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi to head the Energy docket, and former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho to lead the Ministry of Mining and Blue Economy, while former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya will be heading the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs Development.
