Flames devoured the first and second floors of Ebrahim Shopping Mall along Moi Avenue, obliterating property of uncertain worth. Despite the inferno’s ferocity, no injuries were reported.

Whispers from eyewitnesses suggest a 4am spark, potentially ignited by an electrical malfunction.

However, the police remain tight-lipped, their investigation shrouded in mystery. “We’re still piecing it together,” an officer shared cryptically.

Governor Johnson Sakaja’s nod granted a hefty sum of Sh165 million to fortify the city’s fire department, a move culminating in the construction of crucial fire stations across strategic locations.

These stations, like guardians in waiting, aim to vanquish the vulnerability that once compelled Nairobians to seek private firefighting aid.

Relief blossomed as City Hall erected new fire stations in Waithaka, Kangundo, Ruaraka, and Gigiri, a collective investment of Sh1 Billion.

The residents, previously reliant on Koja and Industrial Area stations, welcomed this proactive stride in safeguarding their city.

The bukidng houses various stalls selling mobile phones, clothes, laptops, shoes, beauty products among other items.
