Edday Nderitu took to social media to celebrate Samidoh’s big achievement as the Mugithi star graduated with his first degree.
She recalled how Samidoh decided to return to school years ago, a journey that led to his graduation from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Edday shared that it took Samidoh seven years to complete his studies, which he started shortly after the birth of their second child.
Edday praises Samidoh
“Your perseverance and dedication have borne fruit. I remember when you decided to continue with your degree, we had just welcomed our child, Mike.
Thank you for your commitment and true spirit; I am forever inspired,” Edday wrote.
She praised Samidoh for balancing his studies with other responsibilities, including his job as a police officer, his music career, and providing for their young family.
“You were always on your feet, taking on household chores, preparing Shirleen for school, and dropping her off on your way to school. You didn’t give up despite many challenges. Congratulations,” she added.
Samidoh shared photos of his graduation, reflecting on his humble beginnings and the struggles he faced.
“Mama! I wish you were here today to witness this day! We have come a long way. From dropping out of school to being a herds boy and later being saved by free primary school education, thanks to H.E Mwai Kibaki.
After completing my K.C.P.E. and becoming the top student in my year, you saw my frustration.
The loss of hope in joining secondary school, to the extent that you sold a piece of our small land to see me join.
Unfortunately, you passed on weeks later. Mama, I am proud to tell you, by the grace of God, I bought the land back.
Today, at the 42nd graduation ceremony for JKUAT, I have stepped on the first stair of my education ladder. This is just the beginning,” Samidoh wrote.
The couple parted ways last year amid a public fallout.
Edday stated she wouldn’t be part of a polygamous arrangement, they seem to be reconnecting.
Edday, who now resides in the United States, recently welcomed Samidoh during his visit to the US.
Where they were seen enjoying time together after being apart for a while.
