Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has thanked Pesident Uhuru for having faith in him to run the critical docket, especially during a pandemic and the implementation of the new Competency-Based Curriculum.

Speaking on Wednesday after commissioning Phase 2 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms in Embakasi, Prof. Magoha stated that all the changes in the opening dates were aimed at ensuring the safety of learners during the election period and apologized for any inconveniences caused.

Prof. Magoha said that despite schools being used as polling stations, the Ministry would rather keep students in school than send them home since voting is a one-day exercise.

He also apologized for any statements he might have made and was interpreted as arrogant adding that no one is perfect.

"I respect everybody. The way you see me, the courage that I have comes from God and Starehe Boys Centre. We are eagles and we fly high and we are not afraid,” he said.
