Kenyan gospel artist Emmanuel Eko Dydda, famously known as Eko Dyda, has revealed that his only hustle is serving God, and that he has no other side gigs. Speaking during an interview on TV47’s Morning Cafe breakfast show on Friday, April 4, 2025, he expressed that his passion for music stems from his faith in God.
Eko Dyda emphasized that his mission isn’t about fame or financial gain but about making a lasting impact and staying faithful to his divine calling. “God called me to use my voice to transform lives, and that’s what I live for,” he said.
He shared that what keeps him going is the grace of God and the fear of God, underscoring the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship with God. He also noted that many people give up on their relationship with God due to delayed blessings and the temptation to prioritize earthly desires over spiritual growth.
Reflecting on his upbringing, Eko Dyda acknowledged the significant influence of his father, who made great sacrifices to provide for him. He credited his father’s efforts for shaping his approach to both fatherhood and life in general.
Beyond music, Eko Dyda is committed to initiatives that promote unity and discourage tribalism in Kenya. His project, Tribal-All Generation, encourages intermarriage and a sense of national identity, aiming to overcome ethnic divisions.
The award-winning Kenyan gospel rapper, known for his energetic performances and hit songs like “Niko na Reason” and “Vidole,” has gained prominence in the Kenyan gospel music scene since the release of “Niko na Reason.”
