Tech Billionaire Elon Musk announced that his Neuralink company has successfully implanted the first wireless brain chip in a human.
“The first human received an implant from Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well.” Elon Musk wrote on x (Formerly Twitter)
He mentioned that the Initial results show promising neuron spike detection.
Neuralink is an implant that can monitor and stimulate brain activity using electrical currents. It will allow people to communicate by allowing them to control devices using brain activity remotely.

The first Neuralink product is called Telepathy and its initial users will be those who have lost the use of their limbs.
“Imagine if Stephen Hawking-late British scientist who has a motor neuron disease could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer. That is the goal.” Elon Musk posted on X.
The Neura link is a six-year study during which a robot surgically places 64 flexible threads onto a part of the brain that controls movement intention. This is according to Neura Link.

The threads will allow its experimental implant powered by a wireless battery to record and transmit brain signals wirelessly to an app that decodes how the person intends to move.
Like the Neura link chip, Australia-based Synchron implanted its first device in a US patient in July 2022.
Unlike Neralink. Its implant version does not require cutting into the brain to install it.
