Authorities in Embu County have intercepted a consignment of Donkey meat that was allegedly being transported to Embu Town for sale to unsuspecting consumers.
The meat, suspected to be from 15 slaughtered donkeys in Mbeere South, was discovered in a Town Ace van alongside donkey hides.
Law enforcement officers have arrested one suspect and are actively investigating the illegal trade to uncover more individuals involved in the syndicate.
