The 2024/2025 Enterprise Cup and Mwamba Cup will enter its pre-quarterfinals stage this weekend Saturday December 14, 2024 with thrilling action awaited in different venues countrywide.
Kabras RFC, who are the reigning champions, are set to face off with Kisumu RFC at the ASK Kakamega Showground.
The match will be a repeat of the last weekend’s 2024/2025 Kenya cup matchday three action where Kabras thrashed Kisumu 137-07 in Kakamega.
Last season’s runners-up KCB rugby, will battle it out with Mwamba RFC at the KCB Sports club.
Kenya Harlequin will take on Strathmore Leos, at the RFUEA grounds. Nakuru RFC will square off against Catholic Monks at the ASK Showground Nakuru, whereas Menengai Oilers clash will play against Daystar Falcons at the Nakuru Athletics club.
MMUST on their side are set to face Homeboyz. Nondescripts will play against Impala Saracens at the Ngong racecourse grounds while South Coast Pirates will take on Blak Blad at the seacrest grounds, Diani.
Enterprise cup quarters will be played on February 8 while the semis will take place on March 8, the final will be played on 22 April 2025.
Kabras RFC are the defending Enterprise Cup champions, having secured their third consecutive title in 2023 by edging out arch-rivals KCB 32-20 in an entertaining final played at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
Mwamba cup will also kick off this weekend and will feature KRU Championship and Nationwide sides where Mombasa RFC take on Sigalagala at the Mombasa sports club while USIU will battle AP Warriors. At the UoE Pavilion grounds UOE Trojans will host Mean Machine as TUM Marines face off with Kenya Prisons at the seacrest grounds in Diani.
Western Bulls will take Shamberere TTI at the Bullring in Kakamega, Makueni RFC will battle Kisii, JKUAT Cougars will take on Project 61 at the JKUAT Main campus grounds whereas varsity side Kabarak University will square off against their counterparts Zetech Oaks at the Kabarak University grounds.
Mwamba cup quarters are set for February 8 2025 while the semis will take place on March 8 2025 and the final will be played on 19th April 2025.
Kenya Cup went into the Christmas break upon successful completion of matchday three last weekend and the league is expected to be back in January 2025 thus the Cup competitions kickoff this weekend and as revealed earlier by the union, this season cup competitions will run alongside the 2024/2025 Kenya Cup season.
