Kansiime reveals she paid her bride price

Ugandan comedian and media personality Ann Kansiime has confessed that she paid her bride price when she was briefly married to Gerald Ojok.

The media personality added, “I accused someone of marrying me long enough for the whole world to believe it and him to believe it and I also believed it.” 

“I do not want to go into the details. I was married but you know how you end up paying some of it yourself. It is sad, do not look at me like that and I am now an empowered woman,” she said.

Anne Kansiime and Gerald were married for five years before getting divorced last year. There were rumours that the finances, childlessness and power dynamics in the relationship led to the crumble of their marriage.
