EPRA: Kerosene, Petrol and Diesel prices reduced by Ksh 1

The prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene have been reduced by Ksh1 each this follows the announcement by the The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

EPRA stated that By Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022,the authority has calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐˜๐—ต ๐—™๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฐ๐˜๐—ต ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ.

The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.

In Nairobi, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now retail at Kshs.206.36, 195.47 & 193.23 effective midnight for the next 30 days.

Previously, Super Petrol retailed at Ksh207.36, Diesel at Ksh196.47, and Kerosene at Ksh194.23.

This comes as the Shilling continues to show signs of recovery after more than a year of downward spiral.
