Investigations into the tragic murder of Eric Maigo, the Acting Finance Director of Nairobi Hospital, have uncovered significant details. On the fateful night when the gruesome incident occurred in his Woodley Estate residence, Maigo met three women.
Through a thorough examination of phone records and CCTV footage, it was determined that Maigo was spotted on a Thursday evening at a recently established popular entertainment club along Ngong Road.
At this venue, he interacted with three women. In an effort to identify all individuals who had contact with Maigo at the club, the police visited the establishment, leading to the identification of Cynthia Lusega Andalo.
However, the identities of the other two women, including the main suspect, remain unknown.
Detectives believe Andalo who is now in police custody pending further inquiry, may have collaborated or may have information about the primary suspect, as they were together earlier on the fateful evening.
According to law enforcement officers, Maigo was observed leaving the club in the company of a woman believed to be the main suspect.
Phone records indicate that they subsequently visited another entertainment establishment along Kilimani Road before returning home at approximately 10:15 pm.

Further examination of Maigo’s mobile phone revealed that he had sent money to various individuals on the Thursday preceding his tragic demise. Among these transactions, Andalo had received Ksh.650 from Eric Maigo.
Forensic analysis revealed that Maigo’s assailant had employed two kitchen knives during the bedroom attack. Two kitchen knives discovered near Maigo’s lifeless body bore similar sets of fingerprints, suggesting that the assailant had utilized both weapons.
Detectives are still working to determine whether both knives were used simultaneously or consecutively in the attack.
Given the absence of theft from Maigo’s residence and the presence of 25 stab wounds on his chest, neck, and face, investigators are leaning towards a crime of passion or a perpetrator driven by intense rage.
Samples were collected from the victim’s body for further analysis, including toxicology tests, to ascertain the possibility of poisoning prior to the murder, as there were no signs of defensive injuries.
