Erik ten Hag: The manager with highest win percentage in Man United history

He may be experiencing ups and downs at Manchester United, but Erik ten Hag is undeniably in a class of his own among all permanent managers who have led the Premier League club.

Ten Hag holds the record for the highest win percentage of any permanent manager in the club’s history, boasting an impressive 63% win rate.

This surpasses the record of the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who led the club for a remarkable 26 years and had a 59% win rate during his tenure with the Red Devils.

Erik ten Hag and his accomplishments at Manchester United so far

Manchester United brought in Erik ten Hag from Ajax in the summer of 2022. In his first season, he guided the club to a third-place finish in the English Premier League, trailing only champions Manchester City and runners-up Arsenal.

Additionally, he secured his inaugural trophy at the club by defeating Newcastle United 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final, and the team reached the quarterfinals of the Europa League before being ousted by Sevilla.

In his second season, the 2023/24 season, there is a mix of highs and lows. The team currently sits in sixth place on the Premier League table, has been eliminated from the Carabao Cup, and finds itself at the bottom of their Champions League group with a single match remaining.

The legendary manager clinched the top division title in England an unprecedented 13 times, establishing a remarkable record.
