Liverpool booked a round of 16 slot in the Europa league after managing a 4-0 win against LASK at Anfield as they finished top of group E.
Luiz Diaz and Cody Gakpo were on target for the Reds in the first half of the Match at a three minutes interval.
Mohamed Salah added the third through a penalty in the 51st minute as Liverpool enjoyed a 3-0 lead making it his 199th goal for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Egyptian was however substituted moments after his goal, postponing the possibility for a 200th goal milestone to Sunday when the Reds clash with Fulham in the English Premier League.
“Two top results for us tonight in the group,” said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. “A lot of positives from the game.
“This game should have been put to bed [before half-time], we should have finished it off but we didn’t. The third goal just after half-time was helpful.
“We worked for the clean sheet, which is what we wanted, so a top result and really good performance.”
Gakpo scored an injury-time fourth after a stunning assist from substitute Trent Alexander-Arnold.
