In an uplifting turn of events, two former TV journalists have made remarkable recoveries after enduring months of personal struggles.
Eunice Omollo, formerly of NTV, and Kimani Mbugua, formerly of Citizen TV, are now fully healed and ready to embark on new chapters of their lives, thanks to unwavering faith, the dedication of doctors, and the relentless efforts of the Mombasa Rehabilitation team.
Eunice, who has triumphantly overcome her challenges, is set to return to the media industry with a new role at K24 TV. Meanwhile, Kimani is eagerly preparing to reunite with his family this Christmas season, marking a joyful milestone in his journey toward restoration.
The news of their recovery was shared by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, who had taken the duo to rehab earlier this year. Announcing the development on his X platform, Sonko expressed his delight at their progress.
“We thank the Almighty God for their healing and restoration,” he said. “Their journeys are a true testament that recovery is possible with faith, care, and support,” Sonko wrote.
Their recovery was facilitated by the Mombasa Women Rehabilitation Centre, an institution renowned for its commitment to restoring hope and dignity to those in need.
Sonko further added that another patient, Conjestina Achieng, a former boxer, is also set to be discharged this week.
“Conje is also due for discharge this week. We thank the Almighty God for their healing and restoration,” Sonko confirmed.
The recovery of Eunice, Kimani, and Achieng is a beacon of hope for many facing similar struggles.
