Maverick City, the renowned American contemporary worship music collective, has touched down in Nairobi.

Marking a significant moment in their ongoing Kingdom World Tour.

Among the group are gospel music legend Kirk Franklin and celebrated worship artists Tim Godfrey from Nigeria and Pompi from Ghana.

Their arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport early on Saturday morning was met with vibrant celebrations.

Local traditional dancers welcomed them with a display of cultural pride and joy.

The collective, fresh from a powerful performance in Uganda, is now set to bring their unique worship experience to Kenya.

The upcoming event is not just another concert

It is an opportunity for believers to come together in a profound moment of worship and prayer.

JCC Church Senior Pastor Edward Munene expressed his excitement about the event, emphasizing its spiritual significance.

“Kenyans can expect to worship God, to pray, and to seek Him together.

This is not about entertainment; it’s a time to exalt the name of the Lord. We will have Timothy Kaberia, Bethel Lasoi, and others joining us in this sacred moment.

It will be amazing, so welcome,” he said, inviting all to partake in the experience.

The main event will take place on Saturday evening at the historic Uhuru Gardens grounds in Nairobi.

Fans and worshippers alike are eagerly anticipating the chance to be part of an uplifting worship experience,

Led by Maverick City and Kirk Franklin, alongside other leading regional and local gospel artists.

I don’t know what it feels like yet because I’ve only been here for 10 minutes,

but we are grateful and happy to be here as Maverick, and we just hope that the Holy Spirit moves tonight.”

Having already inspired audiences in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Uganda,

Maverick City and Kirk Franklin are set to create an unforgettable night of worship in Nairobi.

Before heading to West Africa for the next leg of their tour.
