In a tragic turn of events, a man dressed as Father Christmas met his untimely demise during a stunt gone wrong.
The unidentified climber, adorned in a red robe reminiscent of Grandfather Frost, attempted to rappel down a building.
The building in question was a 24-story residential building which he would rappel to entertain a crowd below for the festivities.
However, he tragically lost his grip and fell to his death in front of horrified onlookers, including his wife and children.
As Christmas draws nearer, this incident took place in Chelyabinsk in Russia.

How Father Christmas fell
Lit up by a spotlight, Father Christmas plummeted onto a snow-covered structure just one floor above the ground.
His wife and children, who were present in the building’s yard, bore witness to the shocking incident.
Initially, spectators thought the fall was part of the stunt and awaited Father Chrismas’ emergence, expecting a festive greeting.
However, it was only later that the true nature of the incident became apparent, leaving parents and attendees in utter shock.
Despite the tragedy, some initially believed the falling figure to be a dummy, assuming it was part of a Christmas prank.

It was not a prank
The festivities continued unabated, without suspicion of the grim reality unfolding before an audience.
The victim, described as an experienced climber, had unfortunately mismanaged his safety ropes.
Additionally, the event was organized by the establishment’s management company, which later issued a heartfelt apology for the traumatic incident.
The building’s management acknowledged that what was meant to be a joyous holiday celebration had turned into a “monstrous misfortune.”
A night of wonder where children were meant to receive gifts for good behavior turned grim with the passing of the man dressed as Father Christmas.
