Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined in the Christmas celebrations by sending out an encouraging message to Kenyans.
In a statement on social media, Kenyatta implored on Christians to reflect on the meaning of this significant day amidst the festivities galore.
“Fellow Kenyans, as citizens of this great nation called Kenya, we ought to take to heart, the lesson of Christmas,” he begun.
Christmas Spirit of Sharing
In line with the notable event, Kenyatta reminded Kenyans to embrace their diverse origins and pull together instead of falling farther apart.
“Kenya our motherland is home to many; different faiths, tribes and a people of diverse backgrounds.
“It is this recognition that should give us the impetus to pull our strengths together and strive to make Kenya even better.”
Similar to President William Ruto’s message, the former Head of State urged people to extend their generosity to those in need especially in this season.
“I implore all Kenyans to join hands in service to God and service to humanity; let us share the little or much that God has blessed us with to ensure none amongst us goes hungry.”

Nevertheless, he urged road users, including drivers and passengers, to observe road safety measures to avoid accidents as has been witnessed over the past few days.
“Let us all be responsible during this festive season more so on our roads. “Better arrive late than never” and be mindful of other road users.
“Finally, from my entire family and I, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” Kenyatta added.
President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto sent their Christmas message jointly through a video shared on social media on Sunday, December 24.
The first in command preached hope to Kenyans as they look forward to a new year in the coming few days.
“Together let us look forward to a new year filled with hope, progress and shared prosperity. Season’s greetings and may the coming year bring you peace, joy and fulfillment.
“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024,” Ruto added.
