FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup: Coach Cheche  announces her provisional Junior Starlets Squad

Junior Starlets head coach, Mildred Cheche, has called up 35 players as part of the preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The tournament is scheduled in the Dominican Republic from October 16th to November 3rd, 2024.

The team will kick off their World Cup campaign with a match against England on October 18th, 2024. Just two days later, they will face Korea DPR, before concluding their group stage fixtures on October 24th with a game against Mexico.

The players will report to camp on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, for a 17-day training session. After this initial camp, the team will travel to Spain on September 10th for an extended training period, continuing their preparations until they depart for the Dominican Republic on October 1st, 2024.

This tournament marks the Junior Starlets’ debut on the global stage, making them the first Kenyan football team to reach such a prestigious level in international competitions.
