FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifier: Junior Starlets hold Ethiopia to 0-0 Stalemate

Junior Starlets drew 0-0 with Ethiopia in the first leg of their third-round FIFA U17 World Cup qualifier, played on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Abebe Bekila Stadium in Addis Ababa.

During the first half, both teams assessed each other’s strengths and weaknesses, resulting in a goalless scoreline at halftime.

However, in the second half, the Junior Starlets grew more confident on the field, finding space, connecting passes, and solidifying their defence.

Despite not securing three points, they managed to maintain the 0-0 score, allowing them to reset and change the narrative in the upcoming home leg.

The Junior Starlets will return home today to continue their preparations for the second leg, scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
